A JIGSAW PUZZLE

Sometimes, I wish my life was a jigsaw puzzle
A board filled with scattered pieces;
Each one a fragment of my existence,
Waiting to be placed where it belongs.
Some puzzles are easy, others are not.
I'm not sure which one mine is but I wish it were always simple,
The kind that takes only minutes to solve,
Without confusion, without frustration.
Mind you, I'm the player here;
Not some faceless observer.
I wonder what others would say if they saw my board.
Would they be as lost as I am sometimes?
Or would they find the pieces I seem to be missing?
Would they solve it effortlessly?
Or would they struggle just as I do?
Wouldn't you want a glimpse of my board?
Trust me, it’s an interesting one;
A chaotic mix of highs and lows,
Twists and turns that could make you laugh, make you cry, or perhaps both.
I think jigsaw puzzles are fun,
But only when they don’t take too long to solve.
Maybe that’s why I stopped playing them.
Maybe that’s why I walk away when things refuse to fall into place.
Perhaps the answer lies ahead, hidden within the puzzle itself.
But I’ll never know;
Not unless I find the missing pieces and solve them first.
