A MESSAGE OF PURITY

This is not just a message to ‘the girls’ it is also one for ‘the boys’. It is a replica of a Twitter post and I urge you all to read it if you have the time or use the app.

Many of us were brought up in Christian homes; memorizing Bible verses and attending Sunday school because we were taught to do so right from infancy. At Sunday school we certainly learned a lot of things, made promises to God not to sin and not to do anything immoral but how many of us can boldly say that we have kept those promises?

Most of us want to keep our virginity intact but have you thought of keeping your purity intact? Being a virgin is definitely not equal to being pure. You can certainly be a virgin and be impure or as the tweet said “defiled”. You gladly look down on others who have lost their v-card but I dare say that you are no different from them.

You do certain things and just because your virginity is intact, you think “it’s all good”. Well, sweetie, it’s not all good. The fact that your virginity has not been tampered with, does not mean your body has not been tampered with. Stop the façade and deal with it head-on. You never know, it might be an addiction. Seek help, let them judge at least you were able to show what is truly behind the mask.

This is not meant to be an attack but a wake-up call to not just you but to me as well. Do not lift your nose to the air and pretend to be high and mighty, perfect and above reproach or better than all others. I hope this enables you to see the wrong and focus on the right.

Just as Aiden Wilson Tozer once said, “Most Christians want a thrill or joy, but do not want Holiness or The Purity of a spirit-filled life.”

HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY
